lovely holidays

crazy
the holidays are really great because i am seeing alot of my favourite bestest people. i am so happy! everyday im doing reading, discovering, catching up, laughing, loving, and really, what's there not to love about life?
anyway i must really blog about ter's 21 at CHACHACHA. twas a really awesome night with good company because i have v spontaneous and crazy friends! aft dinner we frolicked over to walawalas where ter treated us to drinks, and we seriously went abit crazy there. i haven't had such crazy clean fun before in sucha while. with the night still young and moon still bright, we trudged along to holland v carpark to execute a bday dance for ter. it was really crazy because initially we wanted clem to dance on the ceiling of a car but decided against it because we figured it cld get abit rowdy. so we found a great spot with a gigantic light to make-do as a stage spotlight and pam, clem and i danced a rendition of songs for ter's 21. we were sooooooooooo in the zone man. we garnered a few stares and stops and ( the couple in the car beside us even taped us down ) but, i had fun because everyone was just darn happy! BOOTYLICIOUS BABY!
and if the night couldn't have ended even better, i got a FREAKING SUMMON THANKS TO XYZ!
cheers to the night we felt alive and young and 21!

boy meets girl
he falls in love with her
he chases girl
girl declines
boy realizes he likes her alot
he tries even harder
one year passes
girl debates on giving boy a chance
because boy treats her v well
but eventually, the girl comes to a decision
she declines again
she feels awful
but also realizes that
attraction is impt
perhaps girl might regret?
perhaps not
because love cannot be cheapened
to rationalization or needs or influence
love is expensive

Christmas

peaceful
haha today's quite a splendid day indeeed! nich and i talked about the wonderful things we'll do aft the exams and that bit of wild and spontaneous imagination was good medicine before the AMA paper. i have yet to complete my photoart project i had started at the beginning of this sem, and it's going to be quite exciting!
but the reason to be happy this season, is that christmas is coming! ive got tickets booked for A Christmas Carol and i'm real excited for it. The show's directed by the same guy who directed The Polar Express and if you didn't already knw, i'm a huge sucker for such genres. i am really intriqued by the dialogue, music and background of such movies. Watch it if you're a fan of theatre art! A Christmas Carol is going to be different from The Polar Express because it's a dark movie with v matured themes, and i'm actually quite surprised that Disney holds the rights to the movie because A Christmas Carol is (in my opinion) not exactly kid-friendly.
anyway my christmas tree is up, and I LOVE IT. everyone loves it, for that matter. haha! we changed our ornaments this year because mom bought christmas boot lights in the US and, it's damn prettyyyy. the photos do not do the tree any justice, but not to worry, i'm buying a new camera after the wretched exams end.

AFA or AMA?

bored
today's weather was fantastik for an adventure of sorts. i wished i had a camera to capture the sun shining into my room, with the rays skipping beats, squeezing through the bamboo leaves and making itself home on the marble patterned flooring. it is really moments like these that makes me slightly happier, despite the impending exams.
what should i do ltr? AFA or AMA? i feel as though i'm taking only one mod this sem, and no prizes for guessing what it is!

rollerblades

cheerful
bumped into geri during my run ytd, one of the more exciting things that's been happening thus far in my studious life. two of us used to do really silly and sporty stuff ard the neighbourhood, everyday was almost an adventure. we used to have this crazy obsession over blading, esp aft we accosted our parents to buy us a pair of blades for xmas. with our new blades and accompanying new mode of transport, we skated at all the public places in gardens and became the nuisance to all attentive security guards. honestly, it was pretty thrilling exploring new places and testing how different floor textures would feel beneath our shiny sparky skates. to us, the world was our oyster.
but as it is, adventures are alw shortlived. yes? there was this particular day where geri and i were practising our 'figure 8s' at the srgn garden community centre. the next i knew was getting caught (again for the umpteeenth time) by the familiar scully security guard who decided to reinforce his authority by calling the neighbourhood police. i guess he really gave up trying to deter us from skating within the CC, on his own accord.
i nv rmbed fleeeing as fast as i did: out of the dingy community centre gates, down the steeep 317 slope, pass the two churches which literally became one, and into 68 portchester. two of us hid at the back of my kitchen, shaking over our first brush with the law, but feeling terribly amused that we finally drove the security guard to his wits ends.
but the next day, we were back at it again... we were informidable!
so when i bumped into geri ytd, guess what she said?
'tiff! wanna go blading sometime soon?'
hahaha and we cracked up.

apart from the fact that APEC is in sg, and that the roads are v clear thanks to LTA's astute planning, this week has been v harrowing. but these are the pockets of sunshine that geared me through week 13.
1. a pleasant surprise visit from KOI
2. a friend that managed to calm my hyperactive stress nodes
3. CRYSAL JADE BREAD from you-know-who!
4. a surprise gift frm my mommy - a new bag!
btw guys ive got a paper on monday and that absolutely extinguishes all friday night plans, whatsoever. no wonder it's friday the 13th.

this week has been a feat! exchange woes, reports, and a pretty demoralizing presentation today. i can only grit my teeth to take the 'Great Leap Forward'. tsk tsk get what i mean?
tmr's AFA quiz is quite intensifying. if smu had the same policy as ntu, i would have MC-ed it without even thinking twice.

raskal!

happy
i was at lucia's house just now. She bought a golden retriever and i was really excited to see her new puppy. it reminded me of the prior and post periods after i got raskal. dad brought us to waggies to choose a goldie and i rmbed i picked raskal out because he was very happy and bouncy. i was an extremely avid reader of dog literature when i was younger because dad would bring back numerous dog books and magazines from work and i would spend my time ploughing through them. i still recall the trip back home when we bought raskal from waggies. my elder brother was the person who picked his name out( as always, the eldest has the greatest authority ) but i was v satisfied with the name, raskal. it sounded kinda zainy, wacky, and playful. Names are very important because they define and shape a person's personality. and i believe, this applies to dogs as well!
and then came a whole host of new tasks and schedules. i rmb the first time we bathed raskal. my elder bro, isaac, my ex-maid and i crowded ourselves in the toilet and tried to springclean him. it was quite an unforgettable experience because raskal was extremely thrilled by the water jet and he thought it was some kind of game we were trying to engage him in.
i rmb isaac and i used to discuss our favourite parts of him. it was a really weird conversation which very much explains why i can rmb it so distinctly now. we were fighting over which body parts we would keep if he dies one day. we fought for his ears and head because that's the spot where his fur is the finest.
raskal is a really smart and intelligent dog. he was home-trained by his resident trainer, which is ME, and he still executes tricks as easy as pie. my dad brings him for walks every single day at about 10pm, and he has the intelligence to diligently sit at the doorstep at 10pm sharp to wait for my dad to bring him out.
i used to keep his photo in my wallet when i was in pri school. haha it sounds v cheesy but i was innocent then and i definitely knew the meaning of a love for a pet. raskal probably isn't a domestic pet to me. sometimes i feel that he understands me very well. he's been part of my life since i was p4, do count the years..
he can be quite idiotic at times. being afraid of cats, eating bird shit, chasing weird thingamagics over the lawn, falling into ponds and hmmm, being v aggressive to strangers. BUT HE IS STILL SO CUTE AND ADORABLE!
well, my friends tell me i'm a passionate person. i guess i am for certain issues and things. and one of them? it's definitely RASKAL! hahaha (:
